New to this internet stuff, just saw the link to this site while regestering CIV: Call To Power. I am a long-time Meier fan (from the original CIV to Colonization, CIV II and now CTP). This site is def. great!!! I now am beginning to see how all the cool new units/graphics/etc have been created for the Scenarios that came with my CIV: Gold pack. I will be back to download some of the tutorials, right after I figure out how to play CTP.

Hey, I went to the activision page to see if they had a map editor when I accidentaly clicked their link to this site. I have to say good work guys! I like this site and will definitely visit it more often now that I know it's there. I recently bought call to power after being an avid civilization fan since the first version was out for the Amiga. Call to power is great..it took a little while before I got used to it compared to Civilization2...but the graphics..sounds...the gameplay itself it graetly improved compared to Civ2. A great game! Not a disapointment but rather the contrary..I recommend it to old Civ and Civ2 users as well as new buyers!

Civ:CTP is fabulous.....The best game I've ever played ! It has a moderate learning curve, and it takes a while to get to the Year 3000, but those who stick it out to the end will find it a most entertaining and enlightening journey. The differences b etween the ascending ages are much more pronounced than in CivII, and the further along you go, the more interesting it becomes. Very rich game, with much depth. Although there are things about it that will appeal to the younger players (like Cyber Ninj as and War Walkers), the complex resource management strategies and intellectual (technology) concepts are very adult. I especially liked the idea of the "Corporate Republic". I'm going to do a paper on this government type for my "Electronic Commerce" class. There are, of course, a few minor quirks and nuisances in the game, but I trust Activision is addressing them in the upcoming patch. The interface could be better, especially the unit transport box. Still, however, a great game. I like it better than "Alpha Centauri", and I like Alpha a lot ! Can't wait to see the game editor published. I've got a great idea; put pictures of people you like and dislike in place of the pictures of the computer-controlled players ! ;O] By the way, great web si te. JTR :o)

Just felt it necessary to thank you for a great site. It is undoubtedly the best prepared and carefully thought out gaming (and perhaps other) site I have yet visited. I have been reading the threads on CTP in your forum and must commend you on allowing all views, even those that must run contrary to your own opinion to be posted, and with re- markable frequency. I myself, like CTP and see the potential that this game has. I know it has a few faults, but i have yet to see a game released that hasn't, nor one as of late that hasn't had at least two patches released for it. Any- ways, thank you very much for a good site. I plan to return to it often. Michael Brandeberry "He who laughs last...just got the joke"

Do you know if there will ever be a patch with which you can play CTP without CD? I always have to change CDs after starting a game, so that I can hear other Music. So why installing it full, if I do still need the CD?

2 more days... Some ideas for Civ 4 Borders, please. Another cool thing would be cities that expand. The idea of civil wars should also be expanded. Civil wars are a huge part of real life history and they should be in Civ too. Another thing that would be cool is if you could surround a city and force it to surrender instead of attacking it. I'm making a webpage for Civ 4 ideas so e-mail me if you have more ideas and tell me what you think of mine. =)

I just realized that I had been hitting your web page everyday for the past 2-3 weeks, and hadn't complimented you on the fantastic organization and content. Although I am playing SMAC, I am eagerly awaiting the release of CTP. SMAC doesnt immerse y ou in the game like I believe CTP will (Something about believability in historical game play vs. hard core Sci-Fi.) Anyway, Fantastic Site! I wish all (good) games had sites as well run as yours to keep the fans informed.

Well, since a lot of people, rather than commenting on the site, commented on the game, I guess I'll do the same. All I can say is that I have hated every Activision game that I can remember playing. Then again, Civilization II was my favorite game o f all time. So, I can't wait to see which this game will be (good, from Civ2, or bad, from Activision).

Think of the posibilitis...people!!!!!! Imagine a game so real the reality that you can actually live in the game....Imagine a game so big and so advanced that it takes years to finish it (hehe).....Think of a game where you can lead your people threw 1000 of years , discovering new things with your own inteligense within surtain limits You have control over everything your people shall do...You are like a God to the people, you are to lead the people the ways you think is best for them. If only someon e could make a game like this..... The things that I`ve been describing is only some sugestions, what I am trying to say is that there are no limits of what one can make...I would`nt care if the game was to be published in 10 cd`s. If the people that may be shall make this game one time, runs out of ideas.... just look aroud your selfes...The world...THE UNIVERSE are full of ideas. Pardon my bad writing..I will wayt in excitement!!!

I've been a Civ fan since the very first Sid Meier's Civ, but I just want to say that from what I've seen in your website and read in PC games mags your game is an excellent and much needed adition to the legendary Civ series and I can't wait for it to arrive here in Portugal. One last thing. As everybody knows Sid Meier just released Alpha Centauri, but the critics are saying that's just Civ II in space. And I personnally think that's the only area of turn based strategy gaming that still lacks a true innovative and classic st atus game. My question is: is Activision planning to take up the challenge and make a space strategy game in the likes of CTP? Keep up the good work!

I hope some errors will be resolved: in Civ II it often happened, that for example Russia landed several tank divisions near Washington in peace time. You only coul prevent that by making war. Strict borders and more diplomatic ways, then CTP will become a hell of a game! SPQR - The Roman Empire will rise again!

I think this is a great site. It's fast, efficient, very colorful, and very detailed. The information is very detailed and easy to understand (unlike some sites I know). And I didn't find any spelling errors! how amazing! I really cannot wait for t his game out. It's going to be a true classic.

You people have done a near perfect job here on this site but I think you may be forgetting the normal Civ2 site. I e-mailed the emperor one of my senarios ( St Romulan ) and it still hasn't been published. Your almost as good as Heaven in It's Heyday Duncan Crowe Proud Member of the Apolyton Mailing list

I've been checking out the Viking Scrolls recently, and when I came to the Apolyton main page this time I thought, "What is Call to Power", forgetting the game. Anyway I've checked the site out and C:CTP looks very cool - I just hope that a Sid-less Ci v is still a Civ...
